About BEAD

Browser Emergency Assistance Desk is a free collection of tiny, focused tools for everyday browser problems.

• No signups, ever.
• No popups, no popunders, no interstitials, no dark patterns.
• Every tool except DNS Lookup runs entirely in your browser — your data does not leave the device.
• We do show a few honest display ads to keep the lights on. They're labeled and confined to fixed slots — see Privacy for what the ad networks may collect, and feel free to run an ad blocker if that's not for you.

Install and use it offline

BEAD is a Progressive Web App. After your first visit it will keep working without an internet connection — useful on a plane, on a flaky hotspot, or inside a corp network that blocks SaaS. Click Install in the header to add it to your home screen, dock, or app drawer.

DNS Lookup needs the network to actually ask a DNS server; everything else will run offline.

For scripts and AI agents

Every tool also lives behind a programmatic surface — an HTTP API and an MCP server — so you can call them from a script, a CI job, or directly from Claude / Cursor / any MCP-capable LLM. Same Zod-validated input, same deterministic output, with anonymous and free-key tiers. The developer page has install snippets and the OpenAPI spec.

Why “Emergency Assistance Desk”?

Because when you suddenly need to decode a Base64 blob, generate a QR code for a flyer, or sanity-check a timestamp at 11pm, you don't want an SEO-spam page with five popups. You want the tool. That's it.
